  • 1. Will be two teams,the coach will be working with team playing out from the back
  • 2. Set the team you are working with into the shape you want to work on, eg, 4 DEFENDERS 3 MIDFIELDERS
  • 3. The play will always start with GK
  • 4. The focus is to play around the other teams press and into a finish



Coaching Points

Defenders -


  • Aware of time and space,asses the pressure from defenders
  • Focus on their 1st touch
  • Accuracy,speed, weight of pass
  • Patience on the ball,don't force the forward pass, move the ball until the right moment presents it self (enjoy the ball)
  • body shape to receive the pass



Midfielder -


  • Position,understand the role their they play in this sequence, Eg Role of DEEP MIDFIELDER
  • Be between lines to receive the ball
  • Take touches,make sure the ball is secure in the sequence when playing in this defence third
  • Play the way you are facing,Half turn,can play in all directions
