Organization: Two directional game.
Instructions: Player dribbles out to the cone, performs the skill and goes to goal. The player repeats the drill from the other end.
Coaching Points:
1) Messi steps to the defender.
2) Ronaldo steps away from the defender (separation)
3) Time the skill according to tackling radius.
4) Sell the fake to unbalance the defender and exploit the space.
5) Close the door.
6) Positive touch towards goal (be aware of what is past defender)
7) Prep touch and shoot early if it is on.
Progressions: Defender

Organization: Two directional game. GKs have all the balls in their nets.
Instructions: Goal Keeper serves to defender who must start outside or on the grid. He quickly plays the ball to the waiting attacker. The game is now live and the player must go straight to goal or perform the skill move based on the pressure and positioning of the defender. The attacker now becomes the next defender and the original defender joins the opposite line of attackers going the other direction. The player repeats the drill from the other end.
Coaching Points:
1) Ronaldo Steps out towards the defender (entry).
2) Messi steps in preparation to do the move to gain control of the ball. steps away from the defender (execution).
3) Ronaldo steps to exit and get separation (exit).
4) Time the skill according to tackling radius.
5) Sell the fake to unbalance the defender and exploit the space.
6) Close the door (if defender recovers, use arm and body to shield ball and keep ball on opposite side to the defender).
7) Positive touch towards goal (be aware of what is past defender)
8) Prep touch and shoot early if it is on.
9) If big space is open, drive into it.
10) If defender is fairly evenly balanced, then drive straight at him to provide you with 2 options (left or right).

Organization: 2 Teams.. Two GKs. Lots of balls in nets.
Instructions: Keeper serves to start. Shoot and score stay on (other team off to sides) go back get another ball. Shoot and miss, off to the sides (other team goes back and gets a ball from GK).
Coaching Points:
1) Quick distribution to eat up empty pace
2) Back foot receiving
3) Open body shape (checking passer and target)
4) Take ball in stride
5) Positve first touch
6) Explot 2v1 if on
6) Figure out 2v2 if on (split defenders)
7) Shoot if on (get shots off hard and quickly).
8) Can coach defending too (Pressure and Cover)
Progression:
3v3 if there are 14 players.

Coaching Points:
1) The HOW of Messi and Ronaldo touches.
2) The importance of the first touch of the receiving player to set themselves up for their dribble, insside of the back foot etc.
3) Eyes up, more so on Ronaldo dribble.
4) Big change of pace in transition between the two types of dribble.
