Football/Soccer Session (Beginner): Jailbreak

Jailbreak (15 mins)

Jailbreak

- Split the group into 2 teams

- Each team has a nominated goalkeeper

- There is a jail for each team - use 4 cones

- Players take it in turns to take a shot on goal against the opposition goalkeeper

- Every player from each team must go, including goalkeeper, before anyone can go for a second/third/fourth time etc.

- If a player misses the goal, they go to jail

- If the goalkeeper saves or they hit the post or bar, they return to their line

- If they score they can nominate someone from teh opposition to go to jail, or they can free someone from their jail

- The first team to get every member of the opposition in jail, including the goalkeeper, wins

Easier - Lay off closer to goal and/or use bigger goal

Harder - Lay off further away and/or use weaker foot and/or half volleys/volleys

Technical Points:

- Step into strike

- Use of insole, laces or inside foot to striek the ball

- Focus on the ball when striking
