Football/Soccer Session (Academy Sessions): 1v1 Skills

Warm up (15 mins)

Organization:

20 x 20 box

30 cones in center (as a circle)

Every Player with a ball.

Instructions:

Players will be dribbling around doing skill moves.

Players can not go in the middle or they will fall in lava. To get out they have to do 20 toe touches.

Players can not go out of bounds. If they do. 20 boxers.

Coaching Points:

Movement: left, right, straight.

Head: when to look up or look down.

Skills: Messi touch, Suarez cut, Ronaldo siccors, Neymar fake, Cruyff Turn, Xavi Turn, Maradona

clean up the lava (25 mins)

Organization:

20 x 20 box

30 cones in center (as a circle)

Each player with ball.

Instructions:

4 teams. A team to each corner.

This will be a race. Each team to pick up as many cones as possible.

Teams can only go one at a time.

Ball must be next to player at all times.

Cone has to be put down in designated area before next player can go.

Team that has most cones wins.

3v3 Game (25 mins)

Organization:

20 x 20 box

Each player with ball.

2 goals.

Instructions:

3v3 Game.

Free flow.

Coaching Points:

Movement: left, right, straight.

Communcation: Talking to players on same team.
