Player to respond to coaches instruction, receive the ball using appropriate technique and pass into goal dictated by coach.
Mannequins in place to require player to move the ball to complete the pass.
Coach should request the player use a variety of surfaces and movements during the practice, including working off the back foot.

Player to move between mannequins, coach use a variety of delivery techniques, to feet, chest, thigh, space etc. Player use a positive first touch to take the ball across the mannequins and outside the poles, then finish into one of the goals. Points awarded for corresponding goal.

Receiving (20 mins)
1. Receiving Skills - Coach to feed ball into player in box one, player controls and returns the ball to coaches feet, then moves to box two, exercise repeats.
Coach to test player by playing/throwing ball into their chest, thigh, RF and LF, RF volley and LF Volley, working through a cycle. Ask player to use appropriate control and appropriate pass back. Focus on quality, it's important.
2. Movement to receive - Player to respond to coaches instruction and move to receive the ball, using a good first touch and firm return pass.
1 - Step in front of player and receive/return to feet.
2 - Step to the right of player and receive/return to feet.
3 - Step to the left of the player and receive/return to feet.
4 - Drop between two players and receive on the back foot, dribbling around pole then return pass.
Focus on using correct surface of the foot to receive the ball, and correct technique when returning the pass, at pace, make it real!
