Pirate Ship (20 mins)
Pirate Ship
Simple dribbling drill based on football island that can be advanced and manipulated for all ages and ability, great warm up or basic drill
Players move around circle, staying away form the edge of the sea and keep moving but avoiding bumping into other pirates (head up and close control, lots of little touches for control, big touches for speed)
Go and explore parts of the ship and see if you can see any other pirates.
Need to go quicker around the ship as th epirates keep moving, but don't go overboard!
Use traffic light game to sop, go and turn, red, yellow and green
Use toe taps on pump up the cannons, use side to side to scrub the decks, roll the ball front to back to polish the decks and to hide the Cannons- sit on the ball!
When pirate seen, then they can kick the canons off the edge of the ship to hit the pirates!
When conquered -
P1 - one foot only, inside/outsdie (big toe, little toe) = pirate dribble
P2 - both feet (inside, inside, big toe, big toe) = chief mate likes to dribble
P3 - turns (inside, outside cuts, drag back, 360, etc etc)
