2v1 attacking

Organization:
- 1 channel (32x10 yds) / 6 players.
- Players in partners on oppostive yellow cones as shown.
Instructions:
- Player A starts with ball and passes to player B on opposite yellow cone.
- Player B receiving the pass drives at first red cones and plays pass to player A who has made run alongside.
- Player A receives and continues to drive forward doing the same as player B continues his run.
- Players get to end, wait for each group to finish, then goes back (stay in same line - will work on opposite foot on return to original side).
Coaching Points:
- Dribbling with foot nearest support player
- Drive close to cone, but don't run into it (keep foot near ball / smaller touches as you approach the cone)
- Pass with outside
- Pass with inside (no look)

Organization:
- 1 channel (16x10 yds)
- Groups of 3 (groups of 4 with resting player)
- As shown (defender (A), 2nd attacker (B), 1st attacker (C)
- Rotation A to B to C (back to A)
Instructions:
- Player A takes small touch.
- On player A's touch player B opens gap, player C finds gap.
- Player A passes to player B. Player B passes to player C.
- On Player C's first touch, player A becomes defender and presses (passive) leaving space behind (as shown on left).
- Player C commits player A and passes to player B.
- Player B dribbles/ passes to score or plays 1-2 (as shown on right).
Coaching Points:
- Recognition of defender's position and space behind
- Dribbling with foot nearest support player
- Commit defending before passing
- Pass with outside
- Pass with inside (no look)
- Pass with toe (straight pass/diagonal run)
- Player B's movement to create passing angle
Progressions:
- Defender is live. Must press into shaded area (as shown on right)
- 3 pts. for goal, 1 pt. for defender dribbling out

Organization:
3v3 Small-sided tournament games: 4 teams of 3 players eachteam. 2 fields of 20x30 yards with 2 Pugg Goals on opposite endlines.
Instructions:
4 Teams of 3, play 3v3 tournament style format where each team will play one another. 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 for a loss. Each game should be approximately 6-8 minutes in duration (obviously play a 3 game tournament).
Coaching Points:
· Review of session's learning outcomes being translatedinto the game
· 3 lines of attack
· Creating triangle (gives angles of support)
· Making triangle as big as possible (Creating space)

Organization:
30x30 yard grid
3 pinnies
2 balls (extras on outside of grid)
Instructions:
3 Players start off as defenders holding the a pinnie each in there hand.
Defenders must look to simply touch a ball or force a ball out of play via a bad pass/touch from an attacker, if they do this the attacker who lost possession takes the pinnie and becomes a defender and the previous defender becomes an attacker.
Attackers must help each other to keep possession of both soccer balls.
Coaching Points:
Communication
Awareness of space/pressure etc.
Try to play to back foot and turn to switch ball in other direction when receive it if possible
Quality/weight of passes.
Angles/distances of support
Constantly re-evaluate your position (can I be in a better position?)
Progressions/Regressions:
Add/remove balls/defenders (pinnies)
