Activity - I Can Do This
Organization:
- 10x20 yard area
- Each player with a ball
Instructions:
- Coach calls out to players, "I can do this...can you?"
- Examples: Toss ball in the air and clap before catching (add
claps to make harder), Toss ball in the air and spin before
catching, Kick ball up above your head and catch, Any Coerver
technical touches, etc.
Coaching Points:
- Body control and coordination.
- Hand & eye coordination.
- Dexterity.
- Spatial Awareness.
Progressions:
- Judge difficulty based on group, challenge individually as well.

Activity - Paint the Field
Organization:
- 10 x 20 yard
- Each player with a ball
Instructions:
- Pretend the ball is a paintbrush and wherever it rolls on the ground, it
paints that area.
- The task is to paint as much of the area as possible in the time
allotted by dribbling their soccer balls all over the grid.
Coaching Points:
- Keep ball close
- Use laces
- Jog/run, do not walk
Progressions:
- Paint with only their left foot/right foot.

Activity - Tails
Organization:
- 10x20 yard area
- Each player with a pennie in the back of pants (tail)
Instructions:
- Players run around the area and look to steal tail out of the back
of their opponents.
- If tail is pulled, player is frozen, and they must try to grab a tail as
a player run by to get back into the game.
- Player with the most tails pulled wins.
- Playfor set amount of time.
Coaching Points:
- Avoid having tail pulled,
- Head up to observe
Progression:
Introduce dribbling with a ball to evade tail being pulled.

Treasure Chest
Organization:
1. 20 x 20 yard area setup
2. Players divided into 4 groups
3. Combination of pinnies, balls, cones used as treasures
Instructions:
- Players (Pirates) aim is to gather as many treasures as possible
- 1 pirate at a time from each of the 4 corner runs to the center of the field for a treaure and return to their corner. (A Relay).
- The group or team with the most treasures at the end of the treasure hunt...WINS
- Each ball retrieved is worth 2 treasures.
Coaching Points:
Head up to observe other players
Head up to locate their corner
Head up to encourage decision making with/without the ball
Progressions:
If player selects a ball as a treasure, the player must dribble and pass the ball to a team mate before the other player can run to t he center of the field for a treasure.

Activity - Free Game
Organization:
- 10x20 yard area
- 2 groups of players
- 2 goals
Instructions:
- Free Game.
Coaching Points:
- Dribble the ball to get as close to the goal as you can
- Head up
- Be creative
- Strike middle of ball
- Use your laces
Progression:
Passing the ball 2 or 3 times with team mate before scoring a goal
Increase numbers to 2 v 2, 3 v 3, etc
