Organization:
-setup as per diagram (1/3 of a full field)
-6v6 with 6 wall players.
-normal game in middle, looking for players to use their wall players to create triangles.
-players can only score when they receive a pass from an attacking wall player beside the goal.
-4 minute games then swap teams round.
Progression:
-player who passes ball to attacking wall player CANNOT score, looking for another supporting player in the team to get forward & receive pass from wall player.
Coaching Points:
-movement off the ball to create triangles
-one touch passing to move ball quickly & create triangle passing
-communication where you want the ball & where it can go next
check shoulders & space around you to see who we can create triangles with

Field:65L X35
Objective: This practice is designed to encourage the players to move the ball quickly under limited touches to progress up the pitch in possesion.Split the players into 2 teams. The rules are if you are the team in possesion you only have 3 touches in the defensive and middle third. If you are in possesion in the attacking third there is no limit on touches but we want to encourage being direct and shoot on sight minset. This zone is Free play".If the other team win back possesion in that attacking third, they are then in their defensive third and the 3 touch rule applies. To encourage shielding or hiding the ball I have changed the rule slightly.Instead of the player not being able to touch the ball after 3 touches, the player is allowed to touch the ball but not allowed to move. This means they can shield, hold of an opponent and manouver the ball away from danger to try and delay till a team mate comes and takes the ball. The player is not allowed to pass the ball whilst doing this. This will result in possesion to the other team
Progression:
If the tempo of the passing is not quick enough, impliment a 3 second & 3 touch rule in possesion except the attacking thirds in possesion.
Simplify:
If success isn't achieved then lock players in the thirds to create larger spaces between players so that players have move time on the ball to move the ballover greater distances and move up the pitch and counter attack.
Key points:
Ephasise the need to scan and be on the move and not static. Body shape.Be on the half turn. No offsides. Think ahead. Decide early where you want to go and execute your decision so the player is not caught on the ball.Stretch the pitch both legth and width ways with your starting positions to create larger gaps when in possesion.

Organization:
-create a grid 10x10 or 15x15
-5v3
-4 outside players, 1 central player & 3 defenders
Objectives:
-objective for possession players is to keep the ball away from defenders
-outside/wall players can move up & down to create those angles for other players on the outside
-when the opportunity comes, looking for players to split defenders & find the central player; attacking players must look to get ball from wall player to gain a point.
-defenders must look to intercept & stop that split pass & regain possesion; they gain a point by doing this & give ball back to wall players so they can try again.
-rotate players every 4 minutes
Progression:
1st: Defenders can now look to intercept the pass & keep possession themselves inside the zone. Central player must come out of the box & try to stop them making 5 complete passes. 5 passes = 1 point for the defending side. After they make their passes, ball goes back to wall players.
2nd: Wall players & central player must complete a triangle to gain themselves a point. Encourage players to do things first time & diguise their pass with they body movement. A completed triangle pass = 1 point.
Coaching Points:
-move from side to side in our zones to create passing angles for teammates
-demand the ball in any area
-on our toes expecting the ball which will lead to things being done quickly & first time
-take a risk but do not force the ball
