Warm Up (30 mins)

ORGANIZATION: Set up a 20W x 30L yard field with two small goals for targets.

Play 3 v 2 with red defending. Use Pressure, Cover, Balance technique to disrupt the attack and win the ball back. Play for 30 minutes with one break. Switch attacking team after the break.

DEFENSIVE SHAPE (30 mins)

ORGANIZATION: Set up field with 4 zones that are each 40W x 10L.

Teams will divide into equal groups with four defenders and one or two target players. The attacking team must control the ball until they have a good pass to the target player. The defending team must take up the defensive shape and apply pressure using only the closest person to the ball. (only 1 defender is allowed to enter the attacking zone. If the attackers complete a pass to their target they recieve a point. If the defenders win the ball, they become the attacking team.

Play for 30 minutes

Ball will start with Red team. Blue team will defend by applying Pressure, cover, balance

Activity will start with no restrictions until the idea is understood. Depending on play, restrictions will be applied such as touches on the ball or amount of passes needed before connecting with the taget players.
