Wall Ball (+ speed/coordination

Equipment:

1. One agility hoop (or three cones)

2. One speed/agility pole (or two cones)

3. A ball

Set up:

1. Place the agility hoop 5-10 yards away from your wall or the server.

2. From there walk and place your speed/agility pole (or cones) 4-5 paces back.

Instructions:

1. Player (blue) will start on either side of the agility hoop and pass the ball in the wall/server (orange).

2. After passing the ball he/she will quickly move through the hoop, inside-inside-outside-outside, and look to get pass the ball on the opposite side.

3. Once the second pass has been made, the active player (blue) will shuffle back to get their body behind the speed/agility pole.

** Note if the player is working with a wall, he/she needs to play the ball in harder for it to reach them after shuffling back **

4. Upon receiving the ball, the player will use the back-leg (closest to the pole) to direct their touch around.

5. To complete the circle, he/she will then make a long pass the ball, follow it, and start the next cycle.

6. Players should practice twice going both directions (opening up both ways) and then compete 3-4x and challenge themselves to increase the amount of completed cycles.

Variations:

 1. Receive with the back-foot (or inside foot); Going both directions.

2. Receiving the ball with the front foot (furthest) and playing across; Going both directions.
