The Drill

Run through the speed circuit. Run through the speed rings, jump over the four hurdles, drop back behind the cone then run forward to receive the pass from the next runner. Then dribble through the cones and then play a one-two with the coach, take a touch and look to finish.

What are we learning?

We are learning to work under fatigue whilst also taking the ball in the run. The first touch and what part of the foot is the best to use. As a player in possession, I need to make sure the pass is well measured and just the right weight for the player to continue the drill. Also when as a player when we are in the final third, we have the ability to finish past the goalkeeper.
