Organization:
As seen above
Instructions:
The ball will always start with the two red players who are trying to get the ball to their teammate to score. Players will switch after each shot to start in the initial game. When we get to the progression, give the attacking player 90 seconds to attack.
Initial: players A&B will pass the ball back and fourth for a minimum of three passes and then pass it across to the player C on the other side. Player C is running side to side to be on the same side as the ball wanting to receive the ball and then dribble to go and score on the small goal.
Progression:
1. add a defender in the middle area who will attempts to block the passes to the player who is trying to score.
2. the defender is now allowed to track back and put pressure on the attacking player after pass is made.
3. allow striker to drop into the midfield and switch with other player to to get a pass. (you can dribble through in transition when the striker drops into midfield)
4. add another defender in the middle channel to make it difficult and now one of the passing players can join to create a 2v1 in the attacking side when ball is passed.
5. one of the defenders in the middle channel can step into the midfield grid with the two red passing players to try and win the ball. Will provide pressure on the ball and open things up for the attacking team if they can break the pressure in this 3v2.
Coaching Points:
1.Open body position to receive the ball
