Set-Up:
two 15x12 grids set up beside each other
3 teams of three in each grid.
Shaded area denotes turnover

Game:
Two teams play against the third team - making it a 6v3
When the team in posession loses the ball, all 3 players become the defending team and the team that wins the ball must combine with the other team to keep the ball.
Coaching points: Transition to Defend
- immediate pressure when losing the ball
- deny penetrating pass (to break cover)
- make play predictable
- pressure, cover, balance (defend as a block)
Coaching Points: Transition to Attack
- break pressure with pass or dribble (penetration)
- depth and width
- quick support of the ball
- speed of play

Continuous attack transition - 5v4
Set up: 55x45 yard field with 4 yard safe area in the middle of grid.
The Game: Red team attacks the white team in an attacking overload (5v4). If the white team wins the ball they have to play out to a free player waiting in the free zone in the middle of the field.
- The red can stop the white team from playing out the back and try to continue the attack.
- When white gets out to the free player they attack the team in black.
- defending team can't defend in the free area.

Coaching points:
- depth, width, penetration, mobility and improvisation in attack.
- recognizing 2v1 situations (overlaps, central combinations and driving the ball)
- weight/angle of passing
- timing of runs
Progression:
- defending team can play as soon as the ball is touched in free zone.
- time limit to get a shot/pass limit to take the shot.

Set-up:
1/2 field 8v6 with 3 players waiting in gates at midfield.
In a half field Team A (white) attenpts to play out of the back to one of three gates signifying one of the three forwards. If they do so they get a point.
Team B (red), defends from the front and looks to counter as soon as they receive the ball or as soon as the ball is played to a player in the gate, that player then attacks Team A hoping to counter on the team while they are spread. The red team gets one point for a shot at goal and 5 points for a goal.
Coaching Point (if coaching Offense):
- players driving the ball to create overload
- movement and support to break lines
- depth and width
- Timing/angle of run
- Timing/angle of pass
Coaching Points (if coaching defense):
- intelligent pressure (make play predictable)
- delay
- compactness
Progression:
- time limit before attacking team can get a shot or number of passes before a pass or a shot.

A team of 6 (or 4) in one grid and a team of 6 (or 4) in the other grid.

Game:
Two teams of 6 in their own half (or team of 4). when the ball is in the red half, the white team sends 3 (or 2) defenders to win the ball and safely play it back to the white half. When the ball gets played back to the white half, the red teams sends 3 (or 2 defenders to the oppositie half). when the ball goes out of bounds, use throw-ins.
