15- 20 minutes.
Split the area that was used for the warm-up and first drill into 3 zones, with the middle zone being the smallest.
3 teams, the teams that are on the outside are the players who are trying to keep possession from the players in the middle zone. 2 players from the middle zone can enter the outside zones to press the play and try to win the ball to earn a point for their team.
- teams in outside zones must make 4 passes before they can switch the play to the other outside zone. If the team is successful at switching the ball they earn a point for their team.
- If the defending team get the ball before 4 passes are made, the ball is automatically switched so that the other outside team have a chance at keeping possession. (Different defenders go to press each time).
Progressions:
- Increase the number of passes that have to be made.
- Increase the number of defenders pressing the ball.
- After the outside team has switched the ball successfully they instantly become the defending team and must switch zones to press the ball to earn a point for their team.
