Instructions:
The GK stands out in front of the triangle, when the C shouts a colour the GK is to run around the back of that colour and regain his position in the goal for the C to take a shot.
Progression:
* 2 or 3 colours can be shouted
* Shot can come at any time so the GK has to be ready all the time he is moving and watching for the trigger
Coaching points:
* GK is watching the ball at all times
* GK is moving at speed & keeping his body square to the ball
* Good hands are used
* GK is diving forward
Notes:

Instructions:
The GK is to move from the centre of the goal to marker 1 for a throw from C1, he then returns the ball and then goes back to the centre of the goal.
The GK then goes out to marker 2 etc etc.
Progression:
The C moves back a little and takes a shot instead (anywhere shot)
Coaching points:
* The GK is moving at speed but he is moving with balance and setting at the markers correctly
* As the shots can go anywhere the GK's have to ensure that they are balanced and leaning forward so there are no backward dives
*** While this drill is operating the spare GK's can be working on the other side of the pitch moving and passing / throwing ... this is not a chance to muck about but to concentrate on what they are doing
Notes:

Instructions:
C starts the game by either shooting direct or dribbling the ball into the group or passing to anyone. If anyone receives a ball they can either pass or shoot. When a goal gets scored that GK is changed.
Progression:
The goals get moved closer in to marker 2 then 3. This will force the GK's to change the way they save the ball, ie by a reaction save rather than a conventional one
Coaching points
* The GK is to be watching the live ball at all times and moving his body accordingly with the ball
* Any part of the GK's body can be used to make a save, are the balls getting delivered on & off ground level?
* Are the GK's blocking the ball effectivley or are they trying to make a save?
* Do the GK's recognise the difference in their saves when the goals are closer ie the shots are closer in

Instructions:
GK weaves through the cones and is to set at the end for a shot from the C, if the ball is gathered the GK is to distribute it into the goal by either a roll / throw or feet
Progression:
C2 is brought in to provide a 2nd shot which the GK has to react to
(3 each side)
Coaching points:
* The GK has to move using short shart steps and to set as early as he can for the shot
* The GK is to set leaning over his feet to encourage him to dive forwards NO BACKWARD DIVING
* The GK is to rise quickly and move effectivly for the 2nd shot which must challenge the GK
