Set Up
Two areas 30x25 yards. A goal in each corner of the area. Line to split the two halves.

Rules and Conditions
4v4. Directional. Team to try and score in any of the two goals but must have all players in the offensive half for the goal to count. Defending team to win the ball and try and score under same conditions.

Set Up
Area 40x24 yards. At each end is scoring zone which is 4x6 yards.
Time
4x4 minutes. 1 minute rest.
Rules and Conditions
4 teams. 2 of the teams stand inside the scoring zones. The other 2 teams will compete. The team with possession has to try and play into the team inside the opposite scoring zone. The team inside the scoring zone break out when they receive the ball and attack the scoring zone opposite. If defenders can intercept they can play into any scoring zone. Defending team cannot touch the ball until they have retreated into their own half first.
Progression
Defending team no longer has to retreat before they can touch ball.

Set Up
Main area 74x 60 yards with main goal. Possession area 20x44 yard area with small goal opposite main goal. Breakout gates 40 yards from goal in wide areas.

Rules and Conditions
Defending team starts with the ball in the possession area and play with a player down (6v7). Defending team have to make 3 passes before they can score in the small goal. The attacking team are to try and win the ball. If they win the ball they can break out of wide gates and attack main goal. If defenders regain possession again, they bring the ball back into possession area and try for 3 passes again. If game goes dead, ball will be played into defending team in possession area by coach.
Progression
Play 6v5 in possession area. One defender on outside (right and left) to prevent break out by protecting break out gates.
Play 5v5 in possession area. Keep 'fullbacks' protecting wide gates and add 'holding midfielder' above possession area to screen CF.

Players go through PEP routine including Motor Movement, Dynamic Stretching, Strength, plyometric and sprint (with changes of direction) phases. Focus on techniques and landing mechanics. Use resistance bands for strength development and Post Activation Potentiation.
