3v3 + 3 in 15X20
*Can adjust numbers inside grid if need to, would always like to have two neutrals on outside and one neutral in middle.
Game #1: 3v3 + 2 Neutrals on outside and 1 Neutral inside. Switch neutrals after each game.
- 3 minute games
- Team scores a point by successfully switching the ball from one target to the other without it being intercepted by other team.
- Targets cannot play target directly.
- Targets only have two touches
Game #2: Target cannot play the player they received from
Game #3: Same rules but now can't play target twice.
Game #4: 1 touch
Coaching Points: Players on outside cannot be standing like a cone. They have to always show for the ball. How can we speed the play up? PEAK!! Players need to know what they are going to do before they receive the ball. Limit your touches, Directional touch, hips open to field & receive ball across body) What must offensive team do when ball is played into target (game #2)? be an option and support! How can we connect more passes?

3v3: Grid: 15x20 yard Grid. 3 Players on each team.
*(U11 & U12 can do flying changes)
- Play 4 minute games.
Game #1: Score in two wide goals
Coaching Points:
1) When in Possession: Make sure our shape is a triangle. Movement should be encouraged from that start position. Good positional play, with the aim of keeping possession of the ball, and passing it forward or deep into the opposition's half. Receive with hips open to field. Can we look to combine with high striker. Movement off the ball.
2) Opponents in possession: Above all try not to get beaten. Stay compact. Pressure opposition.

3v1 Keep Away + Passing Progression (20 mins)
3v1 Keep Away Warm-up: Grid: 10x10 Grid
Why? Perfect passing & receiving technique with pressure, movement off the ball and supporting angles.
Rules:
- 3 minute games
- first to 4 points
- if player in middle wins the ball or if the ball goes out they get one point. Players on outside get one point everytime they connect 4 passes. .
- If players complete more than 4 passes then they get one point
Passing Progression: 1 minute X 4. Switch middle player.
1) Player in the middle can't steal ball. Players on outside just work on movement off the ball as they move the ball. Two touches.
Coaching Points: Offensive players must always ***receive ball across body with hips open to the field (when is the only time not to? if defender is on you, what can you do?) What should supporting players be doing? No one should ever be standing. Constant adjustments in their movements.
*** needs to be stressed every session, whenever we don't see it happening, we need to address it.
