Instructions:
On one half of the field play a game of 5v5 with each team defending one goal and each team scoring on one goal..
Don’t be afraid to ask the team on the other half of the field to play as well. It is good to play another group of players whether they are the same gender or not. Then play full field game
Progressions:
Each player must only touch the ball three times (three touch)
Defending Coaching Points:
How quickly can you win back the ball?
Can you win the ball and maintain possession, not just kicking the ball away, transition moment.
Attacking Coaching Points:
Try to stay on the ball, don’t panic and just kick and chase.
Encourage players to explore and try new skills and turns.
How can you use your body to protect?
How can you look for space to dribble into (head up)
How can you be sneaky and trick the defender?
Can you find the net?
