A 5v2 keep away game with the players on the outside forming a tight circle and attempting to keep the ball away from the two players in the middle. When the defender wins the ball back they then switch with the player who lost the ball. This activity can be altered to accommodate your current numbers; 4v1, 6v3, etc.

Using a 20x30 grid play 3v3 plus a neutral player to gates/small goals. One team has a collection of balls, initiate game by playing ball to opposing team. Teams score by passing through gate. When a team scores or the ball goes out of play both sets of players are off and 3 new players from each team play a new game. Rotate neutral player every few minutes.
Main points: Passing technique. Weight of pass.
Good angles to receive ball.
How might you reduce time between first touch and pass? Receive ball across body which also allows you to play forward.
What might you do to create space to receive ball from teammate under pressure? Back pedal to receive ball across body.
When do you play to teammate's feet/ when to play in space?

4v4 with 2 neutral attacking players. Each team scores in one gate while defending the other.
After a set period of time switch the two neutral players.
Coaching Points:
-Emphasize the "check" mark position of the striking foot when passing (heal down, toe up, ankle locked)
Continue to emphasize the quality of the pass
- Proper pace of pass
- Ball rolling not bouncing
- Accuracy
Focus on decision making [when to pass, when not to pass]
Slight emphasis on what it means to be open
- In space in an angle in which teammate can pass you the ball
