At the same time, players from both teams dribble towards the mannequins straibght ahead. When they approach the mannequin, they perform a move of their choice, then drive past the mannequin and shoot on goal. Following their shot, they retrieve the ball and join the other line.
Coaching Points
Challenge the players to play everything at speed.
Basic instructions - Always hit the target, always make the keeper work
Do not allow the players to come in too close to goal as it will become too easy
Always follow your shot and look for rebounds
Progression
Swap ends so as to challenge the players' left feet.

Progressions
Service can be in the air
Players can play a give and go with the server
Server can become the defender
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organisation
Set up as above with two goals and two GK's.
Minimum of 6 outfield players.
Instructions
The exercise starts with Player A with the ball as an attacker, and player B acting as a Defender.
Players A must beat Player B in a 1v1 before finishing on goal.
As soon as Player A shoots, or if Player B gets a touch on the ball, the first part of the drill is dead and the coach (in black) immediately rolls a ball across. Player B must transition quickly, sprint to the ball and get a shot in on the other goal. If the ball stops rolling, the shot does not count.
Player A becomes the next Defender and the next player with a ball comes out as anm attacker as the pattern continues.
Coaching Points
In the 1v1 situation, encourage the attacker to provide either a change of speed, a change of direction, or both.
The reaction time of the defender will ultimately determine his success as they transition for the shot. Encourage players to focus during moments of transition.
As fatigue becomes a factor, technique becomes even more importan t. Challende the player to always work the Goalkeeper on the second shot and focus on the basics.
Make it as competitive as possible in order to increase the intensity levels.
Progressions
Create a compeition. Each player must keep their score, play for 5 mins, and have a winner.
Enforce a time limit on the 1v1 situation so now players have to be more positive and direct. thsi will increase the intensity and physical demandsof the exercise.
Coach can serve the ball in the air and now the defending player from the 1v1 has to get there before the second bounce.
