Organization:

2v2 in each grid.
Instructions:
- Game starts with the GK serving into the attacking team. Attackers are looking to play into a target on the end line to score a point. Defenders are looking to apply immediate pressure on attackers, if they win the ball they head to the large goal to score.
- Once a goal is scored or the ball goes out of play, the play immediately starts with the GK serving into the next attacking team in the other grid.
- Defenders / pressing team alternates clockwise i.e. right to left after each play.
Coaching Points:
- Quick pressure on ball.
- Body positioning to make play predictable.
- Position of covering defender.
- Speed of movement from first defender to second defender.
- Communication between defenders.
- Counter attack quickly uppon winning possession.
Progressions/Regressions:
- Play 4v4 across entire grid.

- Each team set up in a 1-2-3-1 formation.
- Players are restricted to their zones at the start of the game.
Coaching Points:
- 1st defender presses ball quickly.
- Body shape to make play predictable.
- Keep play infront.
- Angle and distance of 2nd defender (cover).
- Communication.
- Speed of movement between defensive roles.
Progressions:
- Remove restrictions on player movements between zones.

- Both teams set up in a 1-2-3-1.
Coaching Points:
- Pressure, cover and balance.
- Keep play compact (no gaps between defenders and no gaps between units)
- Communication.
- Good rest defence and rest attack positions when ball is won and lost.
- Quick counter attacking upon winning possession.
- Finishing skills.

Technical Practice
Organization:
Field set up as shown.
2x playing area.
Instructions:
- Server passes into attacker and immediately joins the attacking line on the outside.
- Defender immediately presses as the ball travels to the attacker to play 1v1 to the offset goals.
- The 1v1 plays on till until the ball goes out of play or a goal is scored.
- At that point next server plays to the next attacker.
- Game is continuous.
- Team swap roles on coach's call.
Coaching Points:
- Quality of pass.
- Speed of pressure.
- Angle of approach.
- Body position - Side on and stay low.
- Eyes on ball.
- Be patient!
- Front foot poke tackle when the time is right.
Progressions:
- Competition between the two teams.
