Screen 1 (10 mins)

⚽Practice Organization

  • Aerobic capacity exercise with agility movements and ball control
  • This exercise triggers the aerobic capacity of the players and is expected to be execute in different speeds and intensities

⚽Key Coaching Points

  • Players initiate their repetitions in groups (waves)
  • The first zone (blue - 20 meters) is the slow speed drive zone, players drive with controlled pace and steady number of touches with the ball
  • The second zone (red - 15 meters) is the fast speed drive zone, players drive with augmented pace and alternation fast touches (as many as possible in small time) with the ball
  • By reaching the height of the mannequins, players have to dribble the around the mannequins and reach the fastest speed with the ball
  • When returning, the paces are switched (red zone is the slower zone and the blue zone is the fast zone)
  • When players reach the start of the exercise(yellow line) they pass the ball to the players waiting to execute the prospective repetitions
  • We execute this exercise for 10:00 minutes in total
  • We execute 5 sets of 2:00 minutes
  • Rest between each set will be respectively ( 35' seconds, 40' seconds, 45' seconds and so on until the last 5th set)
  • Coach praise and motivate the players while executing this particular exercise
  • Players by the mannequins, are expected to move quickly by dropping the shoulders and lowering their center of gravity
  • Both feet need to be used, while executing all the repetitions (ball controls and drives)
  • Ball drive is expected to be highly controlled, players have to move linearly and without allocating their ''driving'' trajectory
  • We drive the ball with all the available ways that players can (make up). However shoelace point is deemed the most efficient part-point of the foot
