4-4-1-1 vs 4-4-2 (4-2-4 in possession)
Back 4 go man for man
FB's first job is to DEFEND vs Opp. Wingers
- They will be looking to hit balls in over the top
CM's go man for man with their 2 CM's
- Stay with them
WINGERS - split the FB and Opp. Winger - opposite side of ball drop in to help. So if the ball is coming down our left with their LW then our RW stays forward in pockets as our out ball
1 FWD looks to stretch the play by going wide - can we create an overload against an opposing player?
Other FWD occupies the CB's

4-2-3-1 vs 4-4-2
Becomes the same as the 4-4-1-1 but your wingers have licence to cheat more, only tracl back if the opposite FB goes forward.
