Field Set Up

A) 30yd x 20yd grid (30yd halved as shown w line

B) 2 teams of 4 players

C) 1 ball with others set aside as needed

D) Offensive team (Red) begins in 1 half with 3 players and ball

E) Defensive team (Blue) begins in same half with 2 players

F) Other players begin in other half (2 players from defensive team, 1 player from offensive team)

Instructions

A) Offensive team controls ball in their half playing 3v2

B) Offensive team passes ball 6 times for a goal

C) Defensive team attempts to win ball and play to their teammates on their half to be offensive team

D) When transition occurs 1 player from each team may enter the new active half to make a 3v2 game

Coaching Points

A) Head Up: See passer and receiver, shoulder check as ball approaches

B) Communication when passing and receiving: verbal, eye contact, body language

C) Proper push pass technique: toe up, heel down, ankle locked, plant foot location, follow through.

D) Proper foot to receive on, front foot back foot

F) Touch to space setting up next touch
