Default, Set-piece.
- Try to play short if you can catch them off guard. If you can't then run through different options.
- Always want to TWO people on the ball.
Player A has option to:
1) shoot directly
2) play a pass around the wall to Player B who made a run to the outside of wall
3) play ball in over the top for runners to run onto.
Runners should have numbers of designated areas to run into. (1,2,3,4 or 5). Timing is key!

'Becca' for Behind the Wall
Set-up: Two players on the ball. Important that for this one, a player does NOT run around the outside of the wall. Why?
Sequence of Events:
- C Pretends to try and 'be in the wall' the other team will force C out. This will leave her in prime position.
- Once there is a visual agreement between A & B, B should check away or act uninterested before checking to receiving pass from A.
- A sets up and pretends to take a shot on goal. A passes to B. As the pass moves forward, C turns and makes a run on to B's layoff.
To be effective, the lay off from B should be one touch.
Option 2:
IF the entry pass to B is not on, then A can raise one hand up, to signal runs into the box, for a ball player over the top.
Coaching Points: Timing, execution of technique, and 'disguising the play'

I. Overlap with Options: (no signal)
Two on corner kick. Play and overlap. Person has option to dribble through and cross or play the overlapper. If overlapper gets ball they have opportunity to cross ball in or play top of the box for shot.
The three/four running in call out the number they are running towards.
*This is first option every time if there's is only one player coming out to defend.
- Player who starts on Goal Keeper needs to move away from Goal keeper and make run into either (1, 3, or 4 areas). Why?
Coaching Points: The two players on the corner flag need to be close to each other. Why?
III. Direct Corner (two hands up)
Always want extra player in the back.
Coaching Points:
RECYCLE, RECYCLE, RECYCLE!!!
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
II. Short Corner from near post runner (one hand up)
If opposing team sends two out then Player C who is next to server (Player B) runs inside the box to draw two defenders back inside.
i. Player A who starts on GK, waits for defenders to come back into box, then at the right time sprints out to receive short along endline.
Order of options:
1) If Player A who makes run is unmarked they can turn and go to goal or play ball into players making runs (45 ball is great option)
2) If Player A is marked then, then they lay it back to Player B who after initially passing it to A starts to make a rounding (still supporting angle) run to give a diagonal pass option for A.
B now has option to shoot or cross ball into runners.
