SET UP
- Create an playing field that is big enough for the number of players (ocean). Within that area, place two nets at either end (sharks). Lay out cones in the middle (whales).
OBJECTIVE
- On the coach's command, players try to dribble their ball through the whale family (without hitting one) and then scoring on net (feeding the shark). They then can either grab their ball or a new one and go back the other way. How many sharks can they feed in 60-90 seconds?
Try and beat your score each round.
PROGRESSION
1) Add moving whales (parents) who try to take their ball away)

SET UP
- 3 cones 2 yds apart in the shape of a triangle (red cones)
- 2 cone set up as the shooting line (yellow cones)
- Player put in to teams, approx 3-4 max per group, make as many grids as needed. (try to avoid lines)
- Coach set up a ball at the shooting line (yellow cones) for the stationary shots.
- First player dribbles through the cone triangle (keeping the ball close) and then towards the shooting line. Players are to shoot before or at the shooting line. They then collect their ball and go to the back of the line.
- If they are ready, try having them perform different types of turns to get through the triangle.
Coaching Points
- Focus on proper shooting techniques while shooting a stationary ball. before moving to dribbling and shooting
- Controlling the ball before shooting
- Looking at the net to see where it is before they shoot
Progressions (after shooting a stationary ball, progress to dribbling)
- Focus on proper shooting techniques (Inside of foot placing the ball rather than shooting with power)
- Focus on proper shooting techniques (contact the center of the ball, laces, toe down)
- Make it a competition. Which team can score the most goals.
-Use opposite foot
