5v2
Grid is 15yds x 15yds.
Players will keep possesion by passing and moving.
When the defender gets a touch on the ball they switch with the player who made the error.
Players will start with 2 touches.
Focus should be on moving the ball quickly, opening their hips to recieve the pass from their teammate, and movement off the ball (finding space to recieve a pass).
Progression:
Coach makes them play 1 touch.
Coach says 10 consecutive passes is a goal.
Coach says if the defenders get split by a pass they have to remain in the middle for another turn.

4v4+2
Players will play 4v4+2 in a 25yd x 30yd grid.
There will be a target player for both teams outside the grid.
The blue team will play 2 touch possesion and will look to get the ball to either one of their target players.
The red team is trying to win the ball back. If they win the ball back they then try and get the ball to their target players.
Target players have 2 touches.
Focus:
Revieving ball and opening hips.
Switching the play quickly and efficiently.
Coach will change the target players every few minutes.
Progression:
Go from 2 touch to 1 touch.
Add a neutral player.
Add restriction for number of passes team must complete before playing ball to the target player.

7v7 with channels.
The red team will start with possession and they must keep possession and switch the point of attack from one side (channel) to the other to go forward and try to score.
Blue team starts on defense and tries to win the ball back. If they are successful they will then become the attacking team.
Focus:
The players must concentrate on recieving the ball and making passes count.
They will open their hips when recieving the ball in order to face the field and prepare to switch the ball.
Work on going through the center midfielder in order to build the play and perform the switch.
CM will make sure to give his/her teammates good angles to play the ball and will pass and move to create the chance.
CM will focus on maknig sure when they pass they are always moving to support the pass (i.e. dropping to create angle, making a run forward to penetrate, following pass to give support).
Progressions:
Touch restrictions. (from unlimited - 3 touch - 2 touch - 1 touch)
Add a neutral player
Make channel safe zone.
Create pass restriction before you can play the ball into the channel.
Must include some sort of pattern play when ball is played in the channel (i.e. 1-2 pass, overlap, etc).
Move into full field.

Players will cooldown by jogging and stretching. They will go through a series of instructions (kick legs out, walk and stretch leg to a lunge, jog, jog backwards, etc.)
They will end with stretching with a partner, using rollers to roll legs (if necessary), etc.

Warm-Up (15 mins)
Players will get into 2 lines.
They will jog to the cone which is 15 yds away.
Coach gives instructions (high knees, jog backwards, shuffle facing left/right, etc.) as the players are jogging.
The players will stretch inbetween instructions.
