Over the River (20 mins)

  • 3 teams of 3-4 players (minimum of 9 players).
  • Team scores by passing the ball through the middle zone to the team in the opposite zone. Compete first to 3-5 points wins.
  • If the defending team steals the ball they pass to the opposite zone and switch roles with the team who lost possession. Team who lost the ball should immediately look to win possession back.
  • If the ball goes out the coach plays a new ball into the opposite side. Supply of soccer balls is key to flow of the game.
  • Progressions = complete certain number of passes before switching, switching pass must be on the ground/in the air/1 touch, defending team can send 2 defenders if they want, etc.
