5-10mins - Corrective Positioning & Tactical Adjustments
- Initially with only passive pressure from the reds who will not press too high to allow Blue team to see the positions deired and circulate the ball. Blues take the shape shown to start play with:
* 5 & 6 opening, 2 & 3 advancing and 4 dropping in.
- Reds can apply passive pressure once the first blue player touches the ball
- Once ball is played in to 9/4 the Reds can actively attack
Progression
- Reds can close down play and tackle as soon as ball is played
Coaching Points
- This gives the GK 3 simple options to get the attack started without pressure
- Look to play in a way that gets the Blues to start advancing

- Body position when recieving ball is vital
- Decision making of the goalkeeper is key
