SET UP: 3 Cones roughly 5 yards apart from each other. 1 Ball, (3) players. 1 at each cone and the third player behind the blocking player.
INSTRUCTIONS: Player A will make a pass in the direction the stationary player B. Player C will come off the back cone in behind the stationary player to mark up and get touch tight. Player C will intercept the pass, and play the ball back to the server player A. The process will repeat itself with player C intercepting the ball on the opposite side. Players will switch roles every few minutes.
FOCUS: Quick movement to get touch tight. Do not try to win the ball from behind with toes. Advance on an angle and not square to the opponents shoulders. Knees bent keeping a lower stance on the balls of the players feet.

INSTRUCTIONS: TWO TEAMS (EACH PLAYER WILL BE NUMBERED 1 ON THE COACHES COMMAND THE PLAYERS WILL START DRIBBLING AROUND THE BOX. WHEN THE COACH CALLS OUT A NUMBER, THOSE PLAYERS WILL SPRINT TO THE OTHER BOX AND TRY TO WIN THE BALL FROM THE OTHER TEAM. THE DEFENDER WHO WINS THE BALL OR FORCES A BALL OUT FIRST, EARNS A POINT FOR THEIR TEAM. PLAYERS WILL THEN RETURN TO THEIR BOX AND THE PROCESS WILL REPEAT WITH A NEW NUMBER BEING CALLED OUT BY THE COACH.

SET UP: Two even teams with GK's. (2) Neutral players playing for the team in possession of the ball.
Focus: This is a great way to incorporate the practice theme into the final game. Utilize any focuses worked on during the session.

Ability/Skills/Ball Mastery Warmup (15 mins)
SET UP: 4 Poles or cones. One in each corner of a 5x5 Box. Cones set in a circle outside of the square. (4) players without a ball inside the square. The remaining players each have a ball at a cone on the outside of the square.
INSTRUCTIONS: On the coaches word, the players inside the square will move outside of the square towards a player with a ball to receive a pass, and return a pass. The players will then run backwards through the square (shoulder checking) then change direction and go to another player with the ball to repeat the process.
PROGRESSIONS: Switch up the task, switch to volleys with the inside or top of each foot, or settle the ball off the chest. Turn it into a game with different rounds and assign counters to each of the players with a winner of each round competing at the end.
FOCUS: The main goal of this part is introducing, practicing and developing their ball control.
Creativity is important, having contact with different parts of their body, footwork, make them think, solve game situations, increase the communication between each other and gain confidence.
