2v2 or 3v3 Free Play (20 mins)

Play Phase:

2v2 or 3v3 Free Play

Objective:

Pass or dribble to create chances to score

Set up:

On a 4v4 field 20 x 30 yards, split the field into two with goals (cones or pugs). As players arrive have them start playing 1v1 and add players as they arrive until they get to 3v3. This will create 2v1's and 3v2's, if a team is struggling coach can play until another player arrives.

Alternate: You can have the players go to "endzones" and have them stop the ball in the endzone to score

20 mins with a break in between

Q: How do you find openings on the field?

A: Look up and see where the opponants are

Q: How do you create an opening?

A: Move the opponants by finding the open space

Q: What should you do if you see an opening?

A: Pass or dribble through it

Soft Touches when dribbling

Point your tow down and lock your ankle, use pinky toe

Pass with the inside of the foot, point your toe up and lock your ankle
