Short simple possession session, build ball striking skill to keep ball down, movement off the ball to present options, quick ball movement to evade pressure

4 cone grid, 10ft square. Players at positions A, B, & C. Position a 4th player as the central, low pressure, spoiler. Goal is for player on the ball to have 2 passes available. As the player shifts the ball from A to B, the 3rd player will move from C to D to provide the 2nd available pass (the 1st being the return pass). Each time the ball moves, the 3rd (not involved) player must move. The central spoiler provides light pressure to intercept errant passes. If a pass is intercepted, or a pass is inaccurate, the 'offender' swaps with the central spoiler.
Encourage 1) movement off the ball to show open for a pass (facilitated by the drill rules rules), 2) solid ball striking at the ball's midpoint to result in a rolling ball, 3) vocal and non-vocal communication, 4) receiving the ball across the body to allow passing in either direction

Connect 15ft x 10ft spaces. Playing 4v1, Blue possess as long as possible. Red defender attempts to win the ball and supply it back to teammates in the adjacent grid, Blue can attempt to win ball back at this time. When Red transitions the ball, and AFTER Red defender has moved back into her home grid, Blue can send a single defender to win possession back. if ball is lost out of play, possession is surrendered.
Progression 1 - 4v2.
Progression 2 - Blue can send defender(s) across to win back possession as soon as the ball transitions (creates a more challenging keep away till returning players engage).
Encourage 1) movement off the ball to show open for a pass (maximize use of space, spread out quickly upon gaining possession (am I as wide as I can be?), readjust supporting position as ball moves), 2) solid ball striking at the ball's midpoint to result in a rolling ball (quick passing (one or two touch), use short passes more often than long, keep the ball moving), 3) vocal and non-vocal communication, 4) receiving the ball across the body to allow passing in either directiongood passing technique, 5) Solve the problem in limited space with ball movement (dribble only to possess or to find passing angle, play away from pressure vs. into it).
