Mini Game- GK Crossing
5v5 (Can change numbers)- Two/Four outside wing men which either plays for their colour team (if four) or any team who plays them the ball (if two).
Game- Idea of the game is for the player inside the grid to get the ball and play it to a wide player who must cross the ball for their team to score- Can only score from a crossed ball. To start the wide player cannot be tackled or blocked. Only the wide players can play behind the cones- these players cannot come in field. Start with free play
Different conditions- Number of Touches, only block/standing tackles, max number passes per team before it goes wide
Progression- players can block crosses, Overload attackers V Defenders for each team(3 att v 2 def in defenders half), If GK catches the ball that team can go on to score without having to cross ball, Wide player for att can come in field to join attack.

Crossing- Starts with players in Red crossing the ball in for the GK to collect.
Technical Points-
• Focus on the ball with an open body position • Assess the flight of the ball -Decision Stay or Go!
• Use communication i.e. Keepers or away! • Use appropriate footwork in preparation to attempt to jump • Aim to take off on one leg (the one nearest the goal) • Catch the ball at the highest point (‘W’ hand position)
Progressions- Players in Blue - Different positions- start at corners then move on to outfield crosses.
