Equipment:
- Every player with a ball (first time you play don't use balls IF YOU WANT).
- Half of players have a pinnie tucked into back of shorts making a tail (foxes) Other half with no tail are the farmers.
Organization:
- Foxes dribble/run around trying to keep away from farmers.
- Farmers dribble/run after foxes and try to take tails by pulling pinnies out.
- Once pinnie is pulled the fox is now a farmer and game is played until there are no foxes left. Play again and make sure everyone gets to be in both groups.
Key Coaching Points (Step Over):
- The player steps around the ball with the kicking foot - from right to left or outside-in.
- The player then brings his or her feet together.
- The player then touches the ball with the kicking foot to the side.
- The most important thing that players have to remember is that in using the step over move the player has to use the whole body to fake the defender out.

Equipment:
- Players paired together
- Every pair with a ball - extrtas set around for spares
- Players placed on either side of the field (opposite their partner) 1 v 1 shown for simplicity but all players are playing at thesame time..
Organization:
- Player with the ball works to score by DRIBBLING the ball across the opposite line with control.
- Partner plays defense and will try to collect the ball and work to the opposite line.
- Game should NEVER end. If a player scores they LEAVE the ball, touch the cone in the middle of the field and are now on defense. Players will always try and score towards the same line.
- Play 30 seconds switch partners.
Key Coaching Points:
- Players MUST work on moves.
- Work to beat defender with a step over or other move.
PROGRESSION:
- Move players to 2 v 2, and 3 v 3 situations
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Equipment:
- 5 v 5 ( 4 field and 1 goalie)
Organization:
- Work on SPACE. Keeping players spaced out will allow for more 1 on 1 situations.
- Keep the ball moving - DON'T worry about placing kids in exact places for restarts (let them figure it out!!!!! Plus it takes away from their playing time.)
Key Coaching Points:
- Keep reminding them to work on moves!
- Use entire body on moves - not just feet. SELL THE MOVE!!
