Explosive preparator exercises (15 mins)

Periodised plan

Accelerated runs 60 metres x 6 plus 6 metre stop 1 minute rest

These are explosive preparatory exercises working towards max sprints and max deceleration

Start by jogging before gradually increasing speed, the last 5-10 metres should be at 60% of players max speed.

Football Sprints (10 mins)

Football Sprints with Minimum rest

2 sets of 6 x 15 m sprints with 10 seconds rest. 1 minute rest between sets

this can be done to goal to mimic a game like situation, sprint to ball and shoot on goal.

MAXIMUM SPEED

Dependng on number of coaches this should be set up 2-3 times
