cutbacks 2 way drill (20 mins)

1/2 pitch

5 reds 5 blue + 2 keepers

Keeper plays to Reds 6 plays red 8. 8 then plays into red 2s run

Red 2s first touch is trigger for blue 8 to chase and defend red 2

Red 2 plays low cross or cutback for 8,9 + 10 to attack and score.

Blue 6 defends.

Then start blue attack to opposite goal same rotation. Use reds resetting as disruption of passes.

Vary pitch size according to age and ability

Full backs play high and wide

Goals must come from a cutback/cross from fullback or shot from fullback

Marked Diagonal are on outside of pitch is 1 v1. Fullback gets first touch free before 1 defender can enter to challenge.

Offside applies.
