Learning Outcomes
Identification of 1vs1 (space behind defender)
Positive 1st touch (drive at defender, makes it easier to unbalance defender)
Smaller touches on the ball (use of pinky toe to dribble the ball) “Like Messi” as approaching defender
Unbalance defender with body movement (Use of body to sell the fake)

Organization: Each player with soccer ball. Same as Activity 1- Feint. 4 red cones and 4 blue cones per channel. Red cones mark corners, blue mark corners.
Instructions: First Player from line A and B dribble at the mini goal simultaneously. Feint. Take away to the right of the goal.
Coaching Points:
(1). Go through feint technique in demonstration again.
(2). Small (Messi) touches to the blue cones.
(3). Big (Ronaldo) touch and accelerate after the move.
(4). Head comes up after move
Progressions:
(1). A and B dribble at same time. Take away to RIGHT of each other.
(2). Take away to LEFT of each other

Organization:
30 x 20 yd area.
12 players, even lines.
Each blue player needs a ball on progression.
Four gates at each corner of the grid.
Instructions:
Start without soccer ball 1v1.
Coach designates which team will be taggers and which team will be Flee.
The fleeing team will attempt to use feints and moves to elude tagger and run through one of the two gates on opposite side. If Fleer is successful then the next two start. Taggers attempt to tag fleer. If Fleer is tagged then next two players go.
Switch after 3 to 5 rounds.
Coaching Points:
(1). Speed of approach
(2). Timing of Feints/moves
(3). Change of speed and direction
(5). Weight of touches on approach vs weight of touch after beating defender
DEFENDER WINS THE BALL THEY IMMEDIATELY DRIBBLE ATTACK TO OPPOSITE GATES
Progressions:
(1). Each player has a ball
(2). 2 attackers 2 defenders. Man to man defending only.
(3). 2v2 free play
