Warm Up - 10 Minutes
Organization
- All players are within the 18 yard box
- 4 balls in play, all in players hands
Instructions
Part 1 - Neural Preparation
- Players lightly jog within the 18 yard box
- Players with the ball are asked to pass to hand of another player (they decide who) of the same colour, using a specific type of pass instructed by the Coach e.g. chest, bounce, American Football, under leg
- Coach changes the type of pass every couple of minutes
- Players may pass to either Goal Keeper
- Players to shout the name of the player they are passing to
Part 2 - Technical Preparation
- Players jog around the 18 yard box, this time there are 4 balls at feet (2 per colour) and players are asked to pass to a player of the same colour
- Players may pass the either Goal Keeper
- Players to shout the name of the player they are passing to

Shooting technique in and around the 18 yard box - 12 Minutes
Organization
- Half pitch (50x44), using the width of the 18 yard box (36x44)
- 6v6 with 2 GKs and 2 Goals
- 1-2-2-1 formation
Instructions
- Play starts with one team playing the ball out through their GK
- The objective is to shoot on goal and score. Early shots before the GK/defender position is set are encouraged
- If a goal is scored the GK plays out from the back
- If the ball goes out of play on the goal line, the GK plays out from the back
-If the ball goes out on the sideline, a throw in restarts the play

In and around the 18 yard box, coach the technique and skill of shooting and finishing - 12 Minutes
Organization
- Half pitch (50x44),using the width of the 18 yard box (36x44)
- 6v6 with 2 GKs and 2 Goals
- Cones down the centre of the pitch, making 2 halves
Instructions
- Play starts with one team playing the ball out through the GK
- Defending players can block shots
- The objective is to shoot on goal and score. Early shots before the defender/GK position is set are encouraged
- If a goal is scroed the GK plays out from the back
- If the ball goes out of play on the goal line, the GK plays out from the back
- If the ball goes out on the sideline, a throw in restarts the play

- Add pressure by placing one defender in each half

Small Sided Game - 12 Minutes - inverventions/coaching over the top based on encouraging finishing from in and around the 18 yard box
Organization
- Half pitch (44x50), using the width of the 18 yard box (36x44)
- 6v6
- GKs in goal
- 1-2-2-1 formation
Instructions
- If a goal is scored the play restarts from the kick off in the centre
- If the ball goes out of play on the goal line play restarts with either a goal kick or a corner (as apropriate)
- If the ball goes out on the sideline, a throw in restarts the play
