Description:
Players play out an 8 v 8 game with 1 attacker and 2 defender from each team in the end zone as shown above.
Players play out a game as normal but the condition on the game is the ball must be played into your striker in the zone to control the ball before scoring. The player in the box (striker) can either use their first man to spin their defender and shoot or lay the ball back to another member of their team who is on coming into the end zone to support. Balls into this player can be low or high played balls.
Coaching Points:
make off ball runs to support player using their first touch to hold the ball up
is the choice of the striker corrrect (to shoot or pass)
has the player got confidence to keep the touch in the area before passing to a team mate
Do the players out of the box have the confidence to use various ways of controling the ball to pass and move to make space to play in striker

Description:
Players split into 2 group’s with one team feeding (red) and one team working (blue).
The blue team start by receiving a ball from the feeder either along the ground which they will control with one foot taking the ball across their body before returning with their other foot.
The blue player will move away finding another free red feeder to receive another ball off to repeat the practice. feed from hands to mid height for the player to control with their instep or thigh before letting the ball drop to pass back to feeder. NOTE: Depending on ability player may be able to play pass back as an instep volley if controlled on thigh. play ball chest height to be brought down under control and passed back to feeder.
After 2 minutes groups will swap and same drill will be carried out with blues feeding
Coaching points
Work both feet when appropriate to allow equal development on each foot
Make sure your stepping into the ball when controlling it. This means in a game the opponent will have less chance to intercept the ball
Once played ball back to feeder get head up early to find next available player to prevent congestion in highlighted area.
Always communicate with feeder
Relax on the ball
Progression add 2 players 1 from each team as defenders to add pressure on the touch
