10 mins in total
Swap players in progression every 40 seconds with 20 second recovery
Time within the 20 seconds to explain detail or progressions
After the 5th minute - alternate partners
Explanation
Bib half of the players. To begin with, dribbling around and passing. Then finish with passing to their colour, an opposite colour, etc.
To start everyred bibed player has the ball. They have 40 seconds to maintain possession of the ball byshielding and protecting the ball from the defender (Blue bibed).Swap the player in possession of the ball every minute to give all players the same amount of time defending and attacking. If the defender wins possession, then they must then protect the ball for themselves until 40 seconds is over.Conditions:Players must stay within the area - if the ball is dribbled out the last player to touch the ball before it went out of play becomes thedefender.Progressions (make harder):Added coned gates to challenge the players to keep score of how many gates theysuccessfully went through whilst being inpossession of the ball during the 40 seconds.Regressions (make easier):4 safe zones in the corners allows the player to recover for 5 seconds before re-entering the area. This gives the players time torecover and be able to find space easier.2 neutral players could be added as bounce pass players to relive pressure if the players are finding the drill too difficult
