Attacking v pressing

focusing on the type of run be the defender, can they curve their run to forcee the player wide.

The keeper plays the ball out to any wide player to creat a 2 v 1 situation.

as soon as the keeper plays the ball the defender can press.

Progression. Add a defender to creat a 2 v 2 which will now make it more game related.

can the 2nd defender cut off the option for the attacker to pass.

Screen 3 (30 mins)

Objective- Be Clinical

Principle- Create and score around the box

Success- To create goal scoring opportunities.

Organisation- Play starts with the coach feeding the ball in to the attacking team( red) which creates a 3 v 3 situation. The reds try to feed the ball into the players in the assist zones who then try to feed the ball back to the attackers .

We look for good decision making and creativity from the attacking players. They should be able to make well-timed runs and use clinical finishing alongside the use of minimal touches to score.

Assist players are not allowed out of the assist zones.

Blue players allowed anywhere

If the blue players win the ball they then try to score on the 2 small goals.

Swap Blue with red players every 5 minutes

Progression

Players in the assist zones can also shoot.

Individual

can we use different styles of shooting, driven, curled ,volleys.

Also can we use a fake shot or a shift shot.
