Try to play through zone 14 if possible.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organisation
Start play from goalkeeper having ball in hands
Players to move ball whilst keeping thier positions
Pattern 1
Striker ot 10 comes short to recieve ball.
Trigger is movement of striker and no10 then runs beyond taking his place (This will both stop defenders from playing a higher line and possibly create an option for the passer if the oppostion centre back stays with striker)
What if
If defender stays with striker then this will give the option of the ball over the top into the position vacated by the defender (shown in pass 2)
Coaching points
Triggers, when to make run? Player who will make pass needs to be in a position to be able to play. (In control of ball and out of feet ready to play)
Strikers run- Short, in a position to affect defender who is marking him. Communicate, both verbal and non verbal. Change of pace to come toward ball. If looking to play no10 in behind them the pace of his run maybe a little slower so that the defender stays with the striker, leaving the space in behind.
Weight of pass into striker. Think about the quality of the pass into the striker, Playing firm and safe side away from nearest defender, give information on the pass, whether time, turn or man on.
Movement of rest players once the pass has been made

Organisation
Start play from goalkeeper (Goal Kick )
Number 9 and 10 Empty space , allowing wide player to come inside and attack central area.
Pattern 2
Goalkeeper plays ball out to centre backs from goal kick. Patience from defenders moving ball from side to side (try playing 2 touch in own half). Pass into central midfielder, Furthest from ball, as he turns wide player to come in off the line looking to recieve ball in the half space and able to run ball into zone 14. Full back on same side will over lap and opposite wide player will stay away to create space, whilst opposite full back will come around and cover (defensive balance)
Both number 10 and 9 will vacate the central area (zone 14) by no 10 coming away from the ball and no9 into space out zone on same side as ball. ( shown in diagram)
Triggers
Trigger is when central midfielder gets control and able to play forward. Wide player on same side recognises this and makes run inside, at pace and calling for the ball both verbal and non verbal (hand jesture etc). In turn full back will start run at pace and over lap, number 10 pulls away emptyingt the zone and no 9 runs across zone to look beyond same side as the ball (running on the outside shoulder of the right centre back making the defender leave that area.
What ifs.
If the pass to wide player isnt on ( this will be because the full back marking the wide player stays withy him) so then the overlapping full back is the pass.( if the opposition wide player tracks the run ) then, number9 who has made his run on the outside shoulder of the centre back, toward the area that the full back has created.

Organisation
11 v11
Red formation 1-4-2-3-1 v Blue formation 1-4-4-1-1
Blues have 15 seconds to shoot or lose possession.
Defending team.
1 Start with a mid block (cones on side of pitch to identify this) Players not looking to defend higher than the edge of the centre circle, with exception of the striker.
2. Play with a low block.
3. Last progression, allow opposition team to defend as they see it
Roles and responsibilities.
Affect every player.
Goalkeeper, distribution acurate and to centre backs feet. Out of possession think about your starting position and stay in contact with defenders, your communication in vital.
Numbers 2 and 3 Left back and right back .Starting position from goalkeeper, high and wide creating space. Look at triggers from wide player when ball is on your side of the pitch to over lap. If on opposite side of the pitch whilst attacking you will have to come around for defensive balance playing almost along side numbers 5 and 6. Out of possession. if ball is with opposition full back, centre back or centre mid on yopur side of the pitch, be in a position to affect the pass, either stepping infront to intercept or not allowing player to turn when they recieve the pass. If on opposite side, make pitch more compact but try not to come across further than the middle of the pitch and be in line or just infront of furthest centre back, dont be the last de3fender allowing attackers to stay on side.
Transitions.
Organsiation whilst attacking, defensive balance.
Organisation whilst defending, outlets so team can play out.

Defensive balance
Roles and responsibilities
Number 4 holding midfielder- Be in a position where he is first to get to the ball if it is cleared. Also understand where opposition number 10 is and be ball side of player.
Nmber 5 and 6 either side of opposition striker. One of them taking respoinsibility of being first to the ball in front of the striker if its a longer clearance. Generally it will be the player on the side of the ball. But it could also be the slower of the defenders will try to get ball infront whilst the quicker defender will look to cover any longer clearances in behind.
Number 3 Recognise that opposite full back had overlapped and therefore he has to drop and come narro to give good defensive balance. If opposition number 10 plays deeper then our midfield number 4 can be the player holding infront, This will create 3v2 in our favour and mean there is no need for our opposite full back (number 3) to cover.
