Title: 4v3 finding the free player.
(6:35 - 6:55)
Organization / Activity: Players play 4 vs 3 for 5 minute bouts. Putting players in a directional setting where they are numbers up within a tight area. Red plays north - south. Blue plays East - west replicating the midfield 3 playing wide quickly. keep score.
Coaching Script / Plan for Failure:
Players will fail to receive the ball on the front foot making it difficult to move the ball forward or circulate wide - freeze - coach the standard of what we will accept and how if we all are accountable in control this action our collective ability to play forward will improve dramatically. (6:40)
When players win the ball, they will fail to 'bump out' making it difficult for their team to connect, transition quickly and create an attacking opportunity. Coach / Demo the reaction when we win the ball, bumping out, scanning your shoulders and identifying where the space is in relation to your opponent and the goal. (6:45)
8's will fail to press / show opponent inside - guided question - why would we want to force our opponent inside instead of out wide? - Answer, we are numbers up - if they go wide we have to transition / slide over to prevent 2v1 with our 2/3.(6:50)
Key Players: Trosclair, St.John, Ella, Gabby, Blake

Title: Playing Through the lines / Finding Free Player
Time: (6:55 - 7:25)
Organization / Activity: Play 6v6. Ball starts with Injured player / coach. One player can transition into the attacking third to create a 3v2. Encouraging players to transfer the skills / knowledge from previous activity playing numbers up in midfield. If red win the ball they can transition into any zone. Encourage red 4/5 to become 2/3 when they have possession.
Coaching Script / Plan for Failure:
- 8's will attempt to receive ball on the same line as the 6. coach why this gives our opponent the advantage. (7:00)
- 8's will not move / support the player 10/9 underneath the ball if the don't receive it from their initial movement. (7:05)
- 6,8,10 will fail to play against the grain, they will choose more difficult route to goal causing technical breakdown (7:10)
Key Players: Trosclair, St.John, Ella, Gabby, Blake
Notes: Discuss front post run / movement with Brooke, Gabby, Ella, Avia.
