Phase 2 - 20 Minutes
Working with the team in Red.
3 Reds + Goalkeeper v 2 Attackers (will add attacker as progression)
Balls start with the goalkeeper. (All soccer balls in the goal)
Attackers must wait till ball is outside the box before leaving the build out line.
Defending team must try and dribble ball through wide gates.
Attacking team wins the ball back they can go to goal.
Progression - Add Attacking Midfielder for attacking team - but cannot go past build out line until team has possesion.
Coaching points -
Receive on the back foot.
First touches away from pressure.
Draw the man in before releasing pass or taking player on.
Importance of goalkeeper - Communication.
Not always playing the way you are facing.

Phase 3 - 20 Minutes
Same points as prior phase.
Now progressed from 4v2 into a 5v4.. Again working with the Red team.
Attacking players going to goal.
Defending team to wide gates.

Phase 4 - 30 Minutes
7v7 Scrimmage - Formation (2-1-1-2, or 3-1-2)
For the first 10 minutes have the ball restart from goalkeeper when the ball goes out of play.
Progress into regular scrimmage with regular rules.
Players must use build out line.

Warm up - 15 Minutes
2V2 With target players.
Target player will start and play the ball to blue, the blue then must find the other target player for a point - If red wins the ball back they find target player.
Winning team stays on, if ball goes out of bounds both teams will go off.
Coaching points -
Numerical superiority - Do not need to go as fast as you can. Use defensive target player to create 3v2.
Receiving off back foot.
Finding space for team mate.
Combination plays.
Communication.
