- Initially players perform jogging, stretching & activation activities between the cones in lines facing each other. Introduce ball as soon as possible.
- Progress to 6v2 Rondo's with Defenders in for a maximum of 30 seconds each time. Consider only interceptions or mistakes (non contact).
Objective
- Keep possession - consider point system on split passes
Progression
- Possible touch limit on players - 2 touch - 1 touch
- Introduce bonus points for nutmegs
Key Coaching Points
- Ensure activity is low intensity from start to finish. Monitor player effort.
- Observe and interact with players. Avoid over coaching player actions.

Organization
4 x 10x10yd Boxes - Groups of 6-8 Players at Each Area
- Initially players pass & follow their pass to right & left
- Progress to combinations on each pass
- Every 2-3 Minutes coach calls 'change' and players move through center circle performing a mobility exercise led by the coach
Objective
- Can introduce competition through number of rotations around box (first to 10/15/20). Know that this will increase intensity so do not use for prolonged period.
Progression
- Players to change groups as they work through center circle to build relationships with different teammates
Key Coaching Points
- Ensure activity is low intensity.
- Activity can be repetitive if ran for prolonged period so change boxes and work through center on regular intervals (1-1.5 minutes suggested)

Play in corner of field as repetitive actions may cut up grass
Objective
First team to 10 goals wins - play best of 3 games (emphasis on competition)
Progression
Can play 4th game (if not at max time) - 'winner takes all'
Key Coaching Points
- Consider size of group - work:rest ratios should be high (easier with 20+ players)
- Do not stop / freeze activity - make individual coaching points to players as they transition off
- Emphasize awareness & decision making aswell as game actions - introduction to communication (C) - decision making (D) & execution (E) approach
