Both teams in a 1-3-1-2 (1-3-4-1-2 - With taking out CMs).
MDG 7v7 +2 with GK's.
The two wide players are in channels that run the length of the pitch and are 5yrd in width which means they have a tight area to work in to give them a greater challenge and more realism rather then giving them the whole of the wide channel to work in unopposed.
Block 1 (Min 1-8) : Wide players locked into zones and the teams must play into the wide players before they can shot.
Block 2 (Min 10-18): Wide players are no longer locked into the zones, they can come inside the pitch, but the teams still have to go to the wide player before they can shoot.
Block 3 (Min 20-26): Free play.
Coaching Points:
- Once you have played wide can we attack the box and attack with numbers (4 attacking the goal).
- Wide player once you have got the ball can we look to get the ball to the box - then what type of cross would suit the situation? Can you control and cross or is it first time along the ground?
- Runners into the box can we be late and fast - with varying run type, do not just want flat runs towards the goal (too easy to mark).

- Working on wingbacks role with the attacking build up and creating attacks.
working together as a team to create chances
Blues (1-4-1-2 : 1-3-4-1-2 Missing their Cb's)
Reds (1-4-2-1: 1-4-4-2 Missing on ST and their wingers) - Used because of the opponent uses this formation.
Play will start from the Blue goalkeeper (or universal player depending on numbers) they will play out to the blues. Blues will then look to attack and score in the big 11 a side goal. Meanwhile Reds will look to defend, win the ball and attack either the big goal that the keeper is defending or get their fullback to drive through the pole goals. The blue teams wing backs are locked into their wide zones when the blues have the ball and when the blues do not have the ball none of the other blues can go into the wide channel to help defend (this is to force wing backs to defend 1v1 more).
