Organisation:
Cones divide the pitch into 2. 3v2 on each side, the 2 start with the ball with their backs to the goal with the 3 in front of them with their backs to the cones. Could do 4v3 or have one group with even numbers.
Aim:
The duo aim to dribble the ball up to the centre while the 3 try to win to ball and counter attack towards the goal.
Coaching points:
Communication, 1v1 defending, defending as a unit, Speed.
Progressions/ Regressions
Progressions: Add time limits to win the ball back. Adjust the area size.
Regressions: Bigger space, 4v2 to ensure they win the ball to counter.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organisation:
4v4 +2 Jokers. 4 players outside the rectangle, 4 inside along with 2 jokers. The jokers stay in the middle and play for the team in possession. Could be done with 3 jokers if odd numbers with a bigger rectangle. For 12, have 5 on outside. Players on the outside are allowed to move up and down the line to create passing angles.
Aim:
Outside players try to keep possession by using the jokers in the centre. If a defender wins possession they must try to get to the outside while the players on the outside try to regain possession while moving inside. Should be a moment of Chaos in the centre on the transition. When perfected it should look like a spring coiling and recoiling.
Coaching points:
Communication, reacting quickly to losing possession, pressing collectively, quick play.
Progressions/ Regressions:
Progressions: Two touch, points awarded for 'x' amount of passes made, points awarded for regaining possession after losing it.
Regressions: Make the area size bigger, less people in the middle.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organisation:
5v5 game, goalkeepers optional, cones marking out a half way line. Players following the principle of, 'if we can press the ball then everybody press, if not we sit back and be compact in our own half. '
If odd numbers have a Joker who plays for the team in possession, can do 6v6 with goalkeepers, make the area size bigger if it's 6v6, 40x30M.
Start with free play, add in conditions, finish with free play.
Aim:
Score more goals than the opposition.
Coaching points:
Communication, Decision making regarding when to press and when to sit back and counter. 1v1 Defending.
Progressions/ Regressions:
Progressions: Time limits to score following winning possession, time limits to get into shape, Challenges for individuals to become to ones that set the tempo pressing, 2/3 touch rule.
Give each time 1 minute to discuss tactics and other ways to improve.
Regressions: Bigger area size.

Organisation
Cones in a square, 12M apart, one player on each cone with a player stood in the middle. Player in the middle holds a bib. Can use 4v1 in a square, but lots of shapes can be used dependant on numbers as long as the distances between cones are all similar.
Aim
Players on outside move to another cone, can only move forwards and sideways, not diagonally. Player in the middle, looks to get to an empty cone, if they do they swap places with the player without a cone.
Coaching points
Speed endurance: The ability to make repeated sprints Fast handovers are ideal and should be encouraged. Running on the balls of your feet is a more efficient way of running.
Progressions/ Regressions
Progressions: Outside players can turn back after leaving their cone. Outside players can have a football, this encourages dribbling and turning. Defender could have a football as well.
Regressions: Adjust size of the shape. Coach calls go when defender is set.
