Attacking with pace

-Set out three pitches the same (A,B & C) using mini goals at one end - no goalkeepers

- The first phase is demonstrated in pitch A where players use the ball in zone X playing quality passes with movement and communication whilst defenders are in Zone Z and unable to move forward at this stage

- Players in X need to be aware of where defenders are and their movement whilst they play the ball in zone X

- When attacking players decide to make their move and attack demonstrated on pitch B, they progress into zone Y and on this movement from the attackers is when the defenders can move forward to pressure.

- Attackers need to press forward with pace as if a counter attack but also to be aware of offside.

Timing of runs, communication and directional movement is key as is the communication and awareness from the defnders.

After ball goes dead, players should reload back into position as quick as possible for second attempt, three in total.

Add progression after first run of three attempts to put a time limit for attackers for when they enter zone Y to emphasise on pace of attack and to concentrate on the impact. Can also put a time limit on attackers reloading to pick up the second ball as if tracking back. if they dont make it back within time limit, they lose that chance of an attack and move onto next ball attempt.

Attackers and defenders can rotate positions to vary session.
