Using the inside curl technique to score

Organization:
-Players in pairs. One ball per pair.
-Two mats of the same color set up diagonally, 15 yards apart.
-Tall cone in the middle of the mats.
Instructions:
-Player try to pass a dead ball around the tall cone on the ground, curving it on the way there.
Coaching Points:
-Strike the ouside on the ball to create the spin.
-Use the inside of the second knuckle of the big toe to stirke the ball.
-Follow trough away from your body. Exagrate the spin.
-Add power once the technique is understood to spin the ball faster.
Progressions:
-Make it a competition between pairs.
-Use weak foot.

Trench
Organization:
1.2x 10 x 30 yard end areas, 1 8x10 yard middle area. set up as shown
2.12 players ( 2 teams of 5 and 2 GK’s)
3.2 goals
4.Multiple balls with the coach
Instructions:
1.The game is called ‘Trench’
2.One player from each team steps into the middle area known as
the trench. Their objective is to win the ball served in by the coach
and pass it off to someone on their team.
3.The receiving team then tries to shoot and score in the other
teams goal
4.The game continues until a goal is scored or a the ball leaves
the area
5.Each time the ball goes out of play or a goal is scored a new ball
Main Theme 2 (15 mins)
is served in bythe coach to two new players
6.The first team to ten goals is the winner.

1.Quality of the set
2.Decision making of when to shoot
3.Shot selection
4.Ways to create shooting opportunities
Progression:
1.P- Shot must be a first time shot
2.P – Introduction of the ‘Golden Ball’ which is worth 5 goals!
3.P - 6v6 + keepers, no zones.

Organization:
As above. End lines are top of the 18 yard box. Full width. One team in a 3-1-2 formation, one team in a 2-3-1 formation.
Instructions:
Soccer. If players are able to make a overlap or underlapping run with a completed pass during buildup, goals are worth 3 points. Goals are one point if no overlap with pass was made.
Coaching Points:
* Space around defender? Follow pass on overlap runs
* Defender blocking flank? Underlapping run/pass cue if no pressure central
* Reading cues on when to go on overlap run, and when to fake the overlap run to switch the play or put in a cross
Progressions:
1) Free play, no restrictions

Juggling Warm Up (15 mins)
Organization:
-1 player 1 ball.
Instructions:
-Juggling based on homework.
-1 juggle, 1 bounce, 2 juggles, 1 bounce, 3 juggles, 1 bounce.
-Call a proffessional player's name on the last juggle. Repeat. First player to complete the repetition 30 times wins.
Coaching Points:
-Toe pointed out. Ankle firm.
-Strike with laces.
-A little rotation on the ball as possible.
